The leaves of this semi-aquatic plant smell like oranges. The Cree indians and other tribes chewed it as a stimulant. Grows naturally near swamps, but might also be cultivated in regular soil. Germinates in spring when sowed in december. Keep warm, at about 15°C for 3 days. Then put it cool at about 0-5°C (e.g. in the refrigerator). Likes a lot of sun.
