Terra Seed Mix is the high-quality, nutrient-poor potting soil of Canna.
Use:

- Sowing in Terra Seed Mix:
Sow the seeds 2-3 mm deep (max. 5mm) in the Terra Seed Mix in a container or a pot that has a diameter of 5 cm.
Spray the growing medium regularly.
Seedlings first use the energy reserves that are available in the seed.
Keep the seeds warm (+20-25°C) and moist using a propagator for example.
Remove the propagator's lid as soon as the seedlings emerge from the ground. - Young seedlings:
The young seedlings are very delicate so do not place them in direct sunlight or close to a powerful growing lamp since this may burn them.
Give the young plants a feeding solution that has a low EC (1,2) and add Rhicotonic to strengthen the roots.
The seedlings are ready to be potted out when they have developed two or three leaves. - Growing outdoors:
Even though it is possible to sow seeds directly in the ground and let them germinate there. The excess rate is appreciably lower than when this process is carried out inside.
Ground temperatures outside do not provide ideal circumstances for germinating seeds.

Once the plants have developed a good root system in the Terra Seed Mix they can be transferred to a growing medium such as Terra Professional, Terra Professional Plus, Canna Coco, clay pepples or rockwool where they will be cultivated to maturity.
Canna's range of nutrients includes the best specific combinations for each of these growing mediums that will guarantee an optimum harvest.
