THC Breakdown Calculator

How the calculation works
This calculator is based on simplified assumptions about how THC breaks down in the human body. THC and its metabolites are stored in fatty tissue and excreted over a longer period. That means: the higher the body fat percentage, the slower the breakdown.
💡 If you really want to know whether you still have THC in your body, reach for a THC / cannabis rapid testThe role of body weight
Body weight indirectly influences how fast THC breaks down. With a higher weight (more storage tissue), THC can linger longer in the body, while leaner people tend to break it down faster.
The curve in the chart
The curve shown illustrates the modelled course of THC concentration in the body over time. It falls off exponentially, faster at first, then more slowly, until it finally drops to zero. The exact course can differ greatly in reality.

Typical THC breakdown and detection times
The overview below shows average reference values for the detectability of THC and its metabolites in various tests. The actual values can vary greatly depending on the body, consumption habits and test method.
| Type of use | Urine | Blood | Saliva | Hair |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One-time use | 2-4 days | 6-24 hours | 6-12 hours | up to 90 days |
| Occasional use (1-2× per week) | 5-10 days | 12-48 hours | 1-2 days | up to 90 days |
| Regular use (several times per week) | 10-21 days | 2-7 days | 1-3 days | up to 90 days |
| Daily or heavy use | 21-60 days or more | 7-14 days | 2-5 days | up to 90 days + |
⚠️ These figures are average values from anecdotal reports and forensic studies. Individual variation is possible.
