HOMEbox

Items 1 - 8 of 8

The HOMEBox is probably the best-known grow cabinet - easy to set up, high yield! The original from Eastside Impex is the ideal solution for all growers who have previously failed to overcome technical hurdles: A modular, demountable grow tent offers optimum conditions for plant growth in indoor growing. The HOMEbox is a professional grow room of the highest quality with pre-existing, size-adjustable openings for exhaust air and cabling. It can be assembled and dismantled very quickly. For anyone who does not have a whole room or a greenhouse available for home growing, a pre-equipped grow cabinet is the best way to achieve successful indoor cultivation. It can easily be set up in the cellar, attic or garage - provided there is a power connection, as even the bravest plants will not grow without lighting.

The popular grow tent is equipped with a waterproof tray to prevent the water from leaking. There are also various holes for ventilation and aeration - the greenhouse technology can be easily integrated into the Homebox. The lighting solutions and activated charcoal filters can also be installed in this box without any problems. A standard set-up looks something like this: The complete plant light fitting including reflector is suspended from the ceiling using a chain or Easy Rolls, the activated charcoal filter comes in 2 loops under the ceiling of the box - from there the air must then be led out through the closable outlets.

Homebox - the growroom with a concept.

If you want to grow, you have to build it yourself: Until not so long ago, indoor growing for the purpose of self-supply with useful plants was a matter for the windowsill or for tinkerers with a fair amount of manual dexterity. Many self-suppliers took up jigsaws and hammers and put together their own grow cabinet in a time-consuming process. The advantage: money savings and lots of DIY experience.

But woe betide you if you had to dismantle the grow room (at short notice) or even just transport it to another location. This is where Eastside Impex has discovered a real gap in the market and designed the Homebox: a grow box that is quick and easy to assemble and disassemble in a lightweight design and with all the necessary features (keyword: inlets for cables and hoses) that an ambitious indoor grower could wish for.
The manufacturers deliberately avoid the use of PVC plastic, which is used for many cheaper grow tents. This minimises the release of harmful substances, which is a problem with many plastics (e.g. PVC, keyword plasticiser), especially at high temperatures. There are also customised systems for Irrigation, ventilation and lighting for the respective variants of the Homebox.

Variants of the grow tent

The grow tent from Eastside Impex is available in different versions, depending on the intended use and the size of the grow. The Classic and Evolution models have now been replaced by the Ambient. In addition to a variety of different sizes, the special Clonebox range offers ready-made grow rooms especially for growing plants, for example. The LITEbox grow cabinet, on the other hand, is primarily aimed at beginners and small growers. The range also includes a wide range of useful accessories, such as equipment racks that can simply be hooked into the frame of the box.

Putting together a sensible grow box

There are a few things to consider when selecting the components: If powerful NDLs are used, you need a way to lower the temperature. The reflector must be tailored to the size of the tent. The number of plants must match the floor space. Supply air and exhaust air must be regulated, whether passively or by a separate fan. This in turn - combined with a carbon filter - must not be too heavy for the frame on which it is to be suspended...the situation is clear: either clarify all these questions in advance, research them carefully and calculate them perfectly - or simply go for a ready-assembled set, which is no shame either.

Assembly instructions included

Every Original Homebox comes with easy-to-understand illustrated instructions. If these are ever lost, the instructions are also available as a PDF from the manufacturer.

The right place for the Homebox

The location where the grow cabinet is set up is very important. However, most questions only arise indirectly in relation to the location, but rather in connection with the setup of the box - unfortunately there is no general answer to this. In most cases, the local conditions must be taken into account, and these can vary greatly - the location also determines the possible and necessary equipment.
  • Ambient temperature
  • Floor conditions
  • Height of the room
  • Air supply and exhaust air

The normal Homebox is just under 2 metres high - plus any space for superstructures, i.e. the room height should normally be at least 2.20 metres, otherwise this model makes no sense. The floor space must always be considered plus access. For smaller rooms, there are of course smaller versions that are kept lower. However, if lighting is to be provided with sodium vapour lamps, these small sizes are only suitable in very cold environments, as the protective distance to the plants cannot be maintained due to the heat.
