Grow Ventilation
When growing indoors, nothing is as important as the right ventilation. Exhaust air and supply air must be well regulated so that the indoor climate is optimal and odours are minimised. Ventilation in plant cultivation
Ventilation systems in plant cultivation are initially aimed at the constant supply of oxygen to boost plant growth and the associated disposal of used air.
In indoor greenhouses or growboxes, however, there is also the avoidance of odours of all kinds, which is why somewhat higher performance requirements must be placed on the fan in such systems.
This is why slightly higher performance requirements must be placed on the fan and an activated carbon filter is also used to filter unwanted odours out of the air. In addition, the exhaust air system also has the task of counteracting the sometimes high heat development caused by sodium vapour lamps.
sodium vapour lamps and to regulate the climate in the grow room according to the requirements of the respective plants. As a rough rule of thumb, the air in the box should be circulated approximately 30 times per hour.
Noise development due to ventilation
Noise development can quickly become very annoying, especially in larger systems with powerful fans. Two methods in particular have established themselves as suitable means of dampening the noise. On the one hand, a large part of the noise can be significantly reduced through the use of sound insulation sleeves. If this is still not enough, you should look into special sound insulators that can be easily installed in existing systems.
Control of exhaust air and supply air in grow boxes
If you don't have time to keep a constant eye on your system or simply want to save yourself the effort, you can use one of the many options for automatically controlling ventilation systems. From simple timers to more complex control units with a wide range of control options, there are a variety of possibilities for fully automatic climate control. Many of these systems also offer the option of being warned directly by text message in the event of problems.
