Ventilation systems in plant cultivation are initially aimed at the constant supply of oxygen to increase plant growth and the associated disposal of used air. In indoor greenhouses or grow boxes, however, there is also the prevention of odour nuisance of all kinds, which is why somewhat higher performance requirements must be placed on the fan in such systems and an activated carbon filter is also used to filter unwanted pollutants from the air. In addition, the exhaust air system also has the task of counteracting the sometimes high heat development caused by sodium vapour lamps and regulating the climate in the grow room according to the requirements of the respective plants. As a rough rule of thumb, the air in the box should be circulated about 30 times per hour.Noise generated by the ventilation
Noise development can quickly become very annoying, especially in larger systems with powerful fans. Two methods in particular have become established as suitable means of insulating the noise. On the one hand, a large part of the noise can be significantly reduced through the use of sound insulation sleeves.
